Anotherwords, if you move, you had better let corporate american know where you are, otherwise, if they can't find you, your assets are candidates for unclaimed property. The rule is the assets go to your last known address. Note, while the states hold the money in perpetuity, don't hold your breath as there is talk some states are thinking of putting time limits on how long they have to hold the assets. All it takes is the State Legislature to change the unclaimed property laws. If you have stocks, there are several states that sell the stocks and put the money in your account.
